(Jinan, June 17, 2013) "Practice energy conservation and low carbon, build a beautiful home", in response to the call of the National Energy Conservation Publicity Week, and to contribute to energy conservation and emission reduction, the China Construction Machinery Industry Association and Volvo Construction Equipment (China) Co., Ltd. announced the launch of the "Green Operation Month" at the opening of the Shandong Division City Competition of the "Digging Master" Volvo Cup 3rd National Excavator Operator Green Fuel Saving Challenge (hereinafter referred to as "Digging Master"), aiming to launch a green fuel-saving driving initiative to more than 160,000 operators who have registered for the competition, encourage them to commit to low-carbon and environmentally friendly work and life habits, and set off a green wave of fuel conservation and environmental protection across the country. 　　34 cities join together to build a green future

　　With the first city competition launched in Ningxia on June 6, the third "Digging Master" city competition has been fully launched across the country. This year's "Digging Master" is themed "Glory and Dream", focusing on the sense of honor of excavator operators in striving, pursuing dreams, and saving fuel, further stimulating their enthusiasm for fuel saving and environmental protection. The "Digging Master" Green Operation Month event specially launched during the National Energy Conservation Week this year is a re-innovation and active implementation of the concept of fuel saving and environmental protection.

　　During the Green Operation Month, Volvo Construction Equipment called on all excavator operators to join the ranks of green and fuel-saving driving. 6,800 city racers will sign their commitments at 34 city races to actively practice fuel-efficient driving; other operators can also participate in the interaction on official Weibo, WeChat and other diverse platforms to fulfill everyone's "green commitment".

　　The third "Digging Master" has attracted more than 160,000 excavator operators to sign up, and these operators have the opportunity to participate in the newly upgraded fuel-efficient driving training. In addition to fuel-efficient driving skills, the training content will also cover excavator maintenance, operating safety and the use of excavator accessories. These trainings will help operators master the most advanced fuel-efficient driving skills, become true "fuel-efficient driving pioneers", and fully support the development of the green economy.
